Some Comms Awards winners revealed

Kindred was the big winner at this year's Some Comms Awards, which recognise the best in social media and online communications.

The agency won two awards this year, scooping both the best use of Facebook and best social media campaign for its make mine Milk campaign.

We Are Social, which last year won the best industry blog award, was named best large agency while thebluedoor won the best small agency prize.

1000heads? work for Nokia and Tron: Legacy won the best viral campaign award and Smoking Gun PR picked up the best low budget prize for its *Giving nasties the blues *campaign for Panda Liquorice.

Greater Manchester Police was recognised for its famous GMP24 Twitter Day, where the force reported every crime in 24 hours on Twitter, with the best use of Twitter award.

Pegasus scooped two awards for its work for Bayer Animal Health on Drontal's *My Pet Superstar *campaign, winning both the best community engagement and private sector awards.

**Monmouthshire County Council won three awards, including best use of Youtube, the innovation award and best in-house team. **

**Rob Brown, MD of Staniforth and chair of the CIPR Social Media Panel was awarded the special outstanding contribution to social media prize.

**The grand prix was awarded to the City of Edinburgh Council and Stevenson College Edinburgh for The Scottish Youth Parliament Elections Edinburgh 2011 campaign.
